Don't get Lost..

I look up to the mountains- dose my help come from there? 2) My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth! 3) He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. 4) Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.

Did you ever get in the car to go some where, the mall, movies, a friends house and all the sudden you fill like you missed a turn on the way, or maybe you know that you should have arrived already. I know you can relate to my statement somehow. Recently I was reminded to keep watch on my spiritual ears and I wish I could say that I heard this without having to learn a lesson. 1st before I start talking about my detour, let me take you into the road map so we both know why we tend to get lost from time to time.

Deuteronomy 6:1

Now is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you , that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess.

Now I know that I possess the ability to turn a thought or devotion into a sermon, so lord Help me! I want to reach the destination HEAVEN! If I was honest I would have to say that somewhere between the altar and the door lets just say there are many roads and signs and voices that can put you in a detour real fast, and if your not careful you might just find your self having to kneel down and ask for directions.
